We are Parkside Colliery Male Voice Choir, we have been based in Ashton-in-Makerfield in the North West of England since our formation 50 years ago, between the industrialised towns of Leigh, St Helens and Wigan. Originally formed as a colliery choir, we continue to entertain throughout the country long after the colliery itself at Newton-le-Willows closed in March 1993, happy to represent our heritage and our forefathers and proud to include the word colliery in our name. We regularly attend mining related events, memorial services and dedications including Golborne, Maypole (Abram) and Pretoria (Atherton).
